Q: What happened to The Common Scents Co?
A: Summer 2021 we discovered that a company on the other side of the country had a very similar name which made it difficult for us to protect the brand that we had built. And since we're not in the business of holding on to something that doesn't belong to us THE SCENTED VINE was born.
Q: I have a Common Scents gift card. Can I still use it?
A: Absolutely. Your gift card will never expire no matter what brand is on the front. Your money is still good here :-)
Q: How long will my candle last?
A: Soy wax not only burns cleaner, but it also lasts longer. Our 8oz candles burn an average of 55-60 hours and our 16oz candles burn an average or 75-80 hours. You can help your candle live its best life by following the candle care tips to being a good candle parent.
Q: One of my products arrived damaged. What should I do?
A: We try to package your order with as much care and attention as possible. Sometimes, despite our bubble wrap and packing peanuts, even that isn’t enough to conquer the beast that is “shipping”. As soon as you notice any damage, take a photo of the item and the shipping box. Please, no matter how good it smells or how tempting it is, DO NOT attempt to use a damaged item. Locate your tracking number (located on your label and in your shipping notification email). Contact your shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, etc.) to alert them that your package arrived damaged. You will most likely need your tracking number, photos of the damage, and value of damaged item(s). The individual carrier will let you know if more information is needed and how to request a refund for the items damaged in transit. Q: The product I want is out of stock online. What should I do?
A: When a certain product is out of stock online, there are a couple of things that you can do. 1) Select the "Notify Me When This Product is Back" button on the product page. 2) Sign up for the VIP club to stay alerted on new products, re-stocked inventory, and product exclusives. 3) Follow us on social media to see A) when the product is back in stock and B) where we are vending because we may have the product on-hand.
Q: I have sensitivities to candles due to certain respiratory issues. Are these candles safe for me?
A: Always be sure to consider your health and consult with your doctor to see how a certain product may affect you specifically. With this in mind, The Scented Vine uses 100% soy wax as opposed to paraffin wax which is used in most candles sold by large retailers. Unlike paraffin wax, soy wax does not emit any of the harmful toxins that aggravate the respiratory system. Soy wax burns cleaner and lasts longer which equals a double win! All our scents are made with phthalate-free oils. We’re keeping your health in mind.
Q: I’d like to make a custom item but I’m not exactly sure where to start. What should I do?
A: There are so many options when customizing one of our products. You can customize the jar, the scent, the label, or a combination of all three. The first step is to send us a message with your idea and let us walk you through your vision.
Q: How long does it take to receive my custom order?
Each custom order, like all of our products, are handmade and hand poured. Depending on the extent to which your order has been customized, please allow at least 14 days for the completion of your order. A definite timeline is given when working directly with the maker. No worries though! We work very closely with each client and you will be updated at every stage of the process.
Q: How long does it take to receive my package after I order?
A: All of our hand crafted items are created in small batches. Please allow at least 4-5 days before your order ships out. We use that time to put a little extra love into your order. Once your order ships, you’ll be able to track your package with the designated shipping carrier.
Q: I want to host a special event featuring your products. How can I make that happen?
A: We absolutely LOVE doing special events. Please reach out to us directly so that we can partner together to bring a touch of magic to your special occasion.
Q: Do you offer wholesale?
A: We absolutely do! Click on the tab in the menu bar that says "Wholesale" and you'll find a direct link to get our products on your shelves. Feel free to reach out to us directly so that we can provide the necessary information to create a wholesale partnership.
Q: My organization is hosting a fundraiser. Can we sell The Scented Vine products?
A: You sure can. We have established fundraising programs that would be great for most any organization. Contact us to find out how to start selling.
